Credit bureau
Jump to a section
The companies that keep your credit file. The US has three big credit bureaus; Canada has two: Equifax and TransUnion.
Your lenders don’t all report to all of them, and not on the same day, so each bureau has a slightly different copy of your file. That’s one reason your apps show different scores.
To fix a mistake, you dispute it with the bureau that shows it.
From FILE 005: three apps, three scores.
