Liability coverage

Last reviewed · 1 min readBy The Adult Files editorial team
The short answer

Liability coverage pays for injury or damage you (or your pet) cause to other people.

Your guest slips. Your dog bites a neighbour. Your tub floods the unit below. Get at least $100,000: that’s where most policies start.

A lease that says “insurance required” often only needs liability that protects the landlord. That doesn’t cover your stuff.

From FILE 002: What a real policy covers: the 3 parts.
