Loss of use
Jump to a section
Loss of use (also called additional living expenses) pays the extra cost of living somewhere else while your place is fixed. The hotel. The meals.
In many places, the landlord isn’t required to put you up. That’s what loss of use is for.
Check your declarations page for a loss of use amount. No number there means no hotel.
From FILE 002: No loss-of-use coverage, so nowhere to sleep.
